At 20, Nicholas's career took a new turn. He had enrolled in the prestigious MCTC Film school in Minneapolis and had started down the path to stand-up comedy.
By the time he was 22 he had won 1st Place at the coveted Las Vegas Comedy Festival and in 2006 he Co-Wrote and Produced the film festival smash hit "Breakables"
Due to the success of "Breakables" and over 250 shows annually Nicholas was opening a lot of new doors. In both 2006 (Chicago) and 2007 (Minneapolis) he was a finalist for NBC's Last Comic Standing.
Also, in 2007 Nicholas Anthony was invited to be a guest on the highest syndicated radio show in the country BOB & TOM. With over 5 million viewers daily it was the largest exposer for Nicholas yet. After graduating with a degree in Screenwriting and moving to Chicago, Nicholas decided on his next film project. A World War I short called "The Nihilist".
"The Nihilist" was the brain-child of Nicholas Anthony, Brendan Eddy and Wayne Johnson Jr. This film is set in France 1916 during The Battle of the Somme.
It's the story of an English soldier who has lost the will to live and decides to commit suicide by running into the middle of trench warfare. This film will release in 2009 to the independent film festival market.
